Habba said that Trump's opponents are "trying to do everything they can to stop him" from running for president again. She cited the ongoing investigation into Trump's alleged interference in the 2020 election in Georgia as an example of their efforts.
"They're afraid of him," Habba said. "They know that he's going to win in 2024."
Habba's comments come as Trump has been teasing a potential 2024 presidential run. He has not yet announced whether he will run, but he has hinted that he is considering it.
If Trump does run in 2024, he will face a crowded field of Republican challengers. Some of the potential candidates include Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, former Vice President Mike Pence, and former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley.
It is still too early to say who will win the 2024 Republican presidential nomination. However, Habba's comments suggest that Trump is a major contender. If he does run, he will be a formidable opponent for any Democrat who seeks to challenge him.
In addition to the investigation in Georgia, Trump is also facing a number of other legal challenges. He is being sued by the New York Attorney General's office for allegedly misleading investors in his real estate business. He is also being investigated by the House Select Committee on the January 6 Attack for his role in the attack on the U.S. Capitol.
It remains to be seen whether Trump will be able to overcome these legal challenges and mount a successful 2024 presidential campaign. However, Habba's comments suggest that he is confident that he can win.
